Detailed description is Our passion in restaurant businesses started long ago since our arrival in the United States. With many business ventures before perfecting Saritas Grill & Cantina brand, like El Magey Mexican buffet (currently owned by the same family) which Rudy and one of his brothers opened; after this success Rudy wanted to focus his efforts elsewhere with his own brand name. He opened the first Saritas in Baton Rouge as a Mexican buffet; people loved the restaurant, regardless of the success; he still envisioned something different, a Mexican Restaurant with great drinks, live music and tailored dishes, and this is when Saritas Grill & Cantina was born with its first location with the new restaurant model in St. Amant right on the Diversion Canal.. What sets our restaurants apart is that we bring flavor from El Salvador to traditional Mexican dishes. The dishes include more vegetables and herbs, peppers and natural flavors. “People come back for the flavor over and over again”. The food is not all you will get at Saritas, our Margaritas are the best in town made with freshly squeezed lime juice and flavor. The Hammond location opened in 2012 and is managed by the same family..
