Peters Muslim Student Association is group based on the five pillars of Islam which are The Shahada which is I bear witness that there is no God but Allah swt(God), and that Muhammad s.a.a.w is his last and final messenger.

أشهد أن لا إله إلاَّ الله و أشهد أن محمد رسول الله The second pillar of Islam is Salah or Prayer which Muslims are obligated to pray five times, a morning prayer (Fajr), a noon prayer(Dhuhr), and late afternoon prayer(Asr),dusk payer(Maghrib), and finally the night prayer (Isha).
The third Pillar in Islam is Zakah which is giving money to the poor and less fortunate which is once a year.
Fasting or the Holy month of Ramadan is where Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset, praying for forgiveness for the past year.
The last pillar of Islam is Hajj or the pilgrimage to Mecca which all Muslims are ordered by Allah swt to go to at least once if they can afford it.

With theses 5 pillars the Quran and Sunnah( teaches of Prophet Muhammad s.a.a.w) we try to be better Muslims, better Citizens, better friends, better family members, and make our world a better place one person at a time.
