Detailed description is A team of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) students that are passionate about reducing the waste generated as a by-product of college living. "How can we divert material goods from the waste stream?" was the first question four RPI students asked themselves.. . This question led these students, with help from the club that brought them together (Design for America at Rensselaer), to host a campus-wide Drop or Swap event where unwanted and reusable goods could be donated or swapped out for more needed goods -- all for free. The success and popularity of this event showed the need for a campus group that encourages waste reduction and proper recycling.. . And thus, the Green Team was born!. Now our vision is bigger -- in addition with hosting our second annual Drop or Swap, we are working with RPI site and facilities services to help with campus move out to further reduce unnecessary waste.. . We need YOUR help! Join the Green Team today!
