Detailed description is Established in 2002, the Rotary Club of Carleton Place and Mississippi Mills is actively involved in a number of activities within the community.
Established in 2002, the Rotary Club of Carleton Place and Mississippi Mills is actively involved in a number of activities within the community.
Since our inception, the Club has donated over $150,000 for projects and assistance within the communities of Carleton Place, Mississippi Mills, and Beckwith.

Our major project to-date was the creation of the Rotary Centennial Trail – a nature trail running from the Appleton hamlet in Mississippi Mills to Carleton Places – which we built to celebrate the 100 Anniversary of the founding of Rotary International.
We also built a large deck, in two stages, for the Community Living Association on Victoria Street..

The Club raises funds through several major activities: .
•Our Mushroom Compost Sale in the spring – local gardeners are able to buy large bags of mushroom compost for $6/bag, delivered to their home .
•Our November "Just Because…" Rose sale – where we offer 12 long stem roses for $20 per dozen.

•The 50/50 draw at the Bridge Street Bazaar, at the beginning of August, in cooperation with the Carleton Place Daycare..
