ATTENDANCE: Attendance is taken at each class and recognition is given at recital for perfect attendance.
Classes cannot be "made up" for this award; you must attend all of your regularly scheduled classes to receive this award.
Good attendance is imperative, as absences and tardiness can hold back an entire class, and the instructors cannot jeopardize its responsibilities to the rest of class for one student.
If a student has missed two classes in a month, the instructor will notify the parent if a paid make-up lesson is necessary for the student to catch up.
If a student absence becomes an on-going issue a meeting will be scheduled to discuss appropriate options, knowing that life has problems that come up and individual cases can be discussed one on one with Mrs.
Terri.
Please make every effort to have your child at every class.
Awards are also given at the recital for full seasonal participation (September - Recital time).

SITTING OUT: If a student is unable to twirl, but is feeling well enough to attend class, we expect them to participate by observing so that they will retain key elements of class.
Students who feel ill, have a fever, or are exhibiting “contagious” cold symptoms should stay home and rest.
Cases of prolonged absence due to illness or injury should be discussed with Mrs.
Samantha or Mrs.

Make-Up Policy: Make-up classes are only offered due to injury or illness and must be scheduled through Mrs.
Terri or Mrs.
Samantha.
A doctor not may be required to make-up a class.
Your child will not be allowed to make-up a class for any other reason and tuition will not be refunded.
If a class is cancelled due to inclement weather or an instructor’s ill ness, a make-up class will be offered.
(Private lessons may be made up by discretion of the instructor.
Private lessons require at LEAST a 24-hour notice of cancellation to avoid charges.
If the lesson is not cancelled with at least a 24-hour notice, you will be charged for the lesson.

CODE OF CONDUCT: TWIRLERS ARE EXPECTED TO BE AT CLASS ON TIME AND PREPARED IN PROPER ATTIRE (SEE CLASS ATTIRE FOR SPECIFICS) INSTRUCTORS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DISMISS ANY TWIRLER FROM CLASS WHOSE ATTITUDES ARE UNSATISFACTORY.

CLASS ATTIRE: All students need to wear proper attire to class.
At no time may a student wear jeans to class, jean shorts or clothing that is restrictive.
No Sports Bras, or short shorts will be allowed while we are using other facilities that are NOT OWNED BY THE RCT.
Proper Attire and Shoes in these locations.
This MANDATORY for safety and the overall wellbeing of the student’s twirling education.
An instructor reserves the right to dismiss a student from class after one warning.
Please respect our policy, it is to benefit the students and allow them to become the twirler they desire to be.

EXTRA PERFORMANCES: THROUGHOUT THE YEAR RCTWILL ARRANGE PERFORMANCES AROUND OUR SURROUNDING AREA, ALONG WITH PARADES.
NON OF THESE ARE REQUIRED HOWEVER, WE HIGHLY ENCOURAGE EACH STUDENT TO PARTICIPATE IN AS MANY EVENTS AS.
POSSIBLE.
RCT students and family will be given the opportunity to travel for performances as soon as there is interest from enough students to make such trips possible.

INSURANCE: Every student is required to have insurance through the studio.
It is with AAU (Armature Athletics Union) This is a supplemental insurance to cover damage etc.
at every single location and event each twirler participates in as a part of RCT ..

SNOW OR BAD WEATHER: RCT will generally will follow the school closings.
Depending on the given situation you should call the studio and check the class cancellation message.
We allow for three snow days per class a year.
A 4th snow day will be made up over on a Saturday in April at no additional cost, all students are required to attend their snow day make up class.

HOLIDAYS/STUDIO CLOSED: Holiday dates will be posted and will be given to your child prior to holiday periods, along with email reminders.
We also observe the school calendar, if the students are out for fall break, spring break and Thanksgiving the Studio will be closed, however in the month of December there will be the Christmas Parade and other performances, therefore classes will go up till the week of Christmas..
CLASS OBSERVATION: Parents are allowed to observe class twice a year, once in December and once when costumes are tried on for the recital.
This rule is in place so students training and classes go uninterrupted.
If parents want pictures of class please ask in advance for instructor’s approval, pictures are to be taken in a timely manner and persons must leave the practice area after the task is finished.
(**Parents may drop off and pick up their child knowing that if you are habitually late picking up your account will be charged $10 for each occurrence).
This will be discussed with the parent before any charge is applied.
Parents also have the option of sitting in the reception area while their child is in class.

RECITAL: The recital will be held at the end of each regular season.
Dates of this event will be advertised at a later date and will be posted before January 1st.
It is up to parents and guardians to make sure they do not schedule any other events during this time that may interrupt the twirlers’ performance dates After 15 year break everyone involved in RCT extremely excited and looking forward to the upcoming year and to the end of May June to hold our annual recital.
A recital and dress rehearsal date will be posted by January.

TUITION.
Classes are $45 for the first hour of class, any additional classes are only $15.
For the fall of 2016 there is a “Bring a Friend” discount of 50% off for each student until 2017, Provided both students stay enrolled.
Otherwise the student who stays their fees will go up to the regular $45.00 a month.
There is a $30.00 Fee for any returned checks or for non sufficient funds.

FAMILY TUITION BREAK : For families enrolled with 2 or more siblings in Baton Classes.
Two or more siblings enrolled will receive 50% off the discount on the second, third etc.

COSTUMES: Costumes will be ordered in late November early December.
Average costume prices range from $100.00 to $150.00 per costume.
A costume cannot be ordered without payment; therefore, we will assume that a student is not planning to participate in the annual recital if that students costume isn’t paid for by the deadlines.
RCT will inform parents of payment deadlines by the end of September.
Performance is considered the final phase of the year’s baton twirling training, as we recommend all our students to twirl in the final recital, we realize that sometimes it is not possible.
