Björk Park, formerly the Ogdensburg Memorial Wall.
A place to sit on the benches, walk along the trail & bridge and find peace.
Robert Ray Bjork worked very hard to beautify an area of the city of Ogdensburg.
This project began in 1997, in memory of Bob's grandson Adam Michael Bjork (1983-1996).
He planted trees and bushes, as well as a variety of different flowers and shrubs.
Through his beginning efforts, many other people in the community began planting in memory of a loved one.
The Memorial Wall was not only a beautiful place to walk, along the Seaway Trail, but a safer area because of better lighting along the crescent.
Sadly, Bob passed away on November 7, 2010, leaving insight, community pride and hard work as his legacy.
He put his heart into this project.
Currently, thanks to Mayor Bill Nelson, plans are being implemented to re-create the Memorial Wall and restore it to it's former beauty..
