The Color Guard Program made its indoor debut in 2014 at FFCC’s Premiere—the circuit’s first competition of the season—competing in Class B.
The team placed first in class and were promoted to Class AAA where they remained the rest of the season.
At 2015’s Premiere the team repeated this accomplishment and earned first place and a promotion to Class AA.

Despite it only being the team’s second year on the circuit, 2015 was a year to remember.
The team competed in four FFCC regionals and took home first place for each performance—one of which consisted of prelims and finals performances, bringing their total first place count to six.
Their season culminated at the FFCC Championships in Daytona Beach where the team placed second in the Class AA Knights Division.
The team’s placement at Championships, coupled with their amazing record for the season, prompted the FFCC to promote the team to Class A at the conclusion of the season..

For the 2016 indoor season the team made their premiere at a WGI event, taking the floor at UCF for the Southeastern Championship.
Over the course of the girls’ performances they increased their score by 23.48 points, from their first show at the FFCC Premiere in late January to the FFCC Championships in April at the Daytona Beach Ocean Center.
The team also hosted their second annual Blue Radiance Showcase of Champions, a sanctioned FFCC regional featuring color guard and percussion teams from all classes of competition..

During the 2016 marching season the Color Guard Program earned a rating of Superior at the Florida Bandmasters Association District Marching Music Performance Assessment, marking the tenth consecutive year the Program has been rated as such.
Since the 2000 marching season the Program has been rated Superior a total of 13 times.

The Program’s current director, Herman Rios, joined the Riverview family as Color Guard Director for the 2014 fall marching season, and lead the team to win Overall Best Color Guard at the Durant West Coast Invitational, and Best Color Guard in Class 4A at the Chamberlain High School Invitational.
