My name is Rick Everhart Sr., Just to tell you a little about myself, I have been with my very beautiful wife Leona for 33 years, We have 5 wonderful children and 5 wonderful grandchildren.
Our family has grown since our 2014 election.
We are very blessed to have a healthy, happy family..

I have been a COMO customer since 1986 and what an honor it is, I can truly say they live up to the values and principals that we expect.

Since 2014 Election.

It has been a very exciting three years for me.
Let me say that is has been a real honor to see phase 1-4 (Our Fiber to the Home) as well as some pilot projects completed and we have several other pilot projects on the horizon.
I can use our town of Stover as an example.
Being the IT Director for Morgan County R-1 Schools for 12 years it is a great feeling to say we have Gigabit Fiber Internet to our district, this enhances our children's ability to learn and thrive with today's technologies to be all they can be.
Our town, from commercial to residential as well, have fiber to the home, this enhances business and residents connectivity, productivity, social media, shopping and much more.It also invites new potential business that could not be here full time due to the lack of adequate internet service..

Co-op Education Update.

Since elected in 2014 I have completed my CCD (Credentialed Cooperative Director Certificate).
With this I can say it took many classes with a lot of dedicated hours.
When you first get on the board you have no idea how much there is to learn, I thought this would be pretty easy to understand because I have been in business, worked with lineman by doing line clearance, been in technology for years, but it takes much more than that.
From something as little as the acronyms to tier level and rate structure and much much more it is definitely a big learning curve.
I have aquired my CCD and I am currently working on my BLC (Board Leadership Certificate) which will be completed over the next three years and then start on my Director Gold Certificate..

WHY AM I RUNNING FOR THIS POSITION?.
.
I was asked this three years ago and I said "It was because of my diverse skill set", and that is true today with some additions.
I started off my career as a subcontractor for KCPL trimming trees, I worked for 9 years side by side with lineman and fellow tree trimmers in the harshest weather conditions.
Out of those 9 years I was a foreman that ran a very productive crew for 6 years in every day duties, as well as many ice storms and outages running into wee hours of the morning throughout Missouri.
I grew to understand and respect how hard, men and women work to provide service to the customers.
After that I had embarked on a journey that has led me to where I am today, for the last 32 years I have been involved in technology and for the last 23 been involved professionally in the IT industry, I spent 11 of those years owning and operating Micro-Tek out of Stover Mo, serving clients all over the lake area from residential, resorts, real estate, law firms and municipalities, then I ventured into the ISP business, we had limited service in our rural area for internet, so I setup a dialup service, and from there it led me to provide High Speed Wireless internet to our rural communities.
From that experience I have grown and learned a lot about the industry.
Today and for the last 12 years I have been the IT Director for Morgan County R-1 School District.
I love my job, I maintain everything from cyber security, build outs, production servers, network infrastructure, security system, telephone system, door entry and broadband.
So in the short of it, I understand the blue collar, white collar, and Administrative business side of what it takes to run a successful business..

It is a great honor to be a member as well as a director for Co-Mo Electric, I feel that I am a good candidate for the Dist.
1 Co-Mo Electric Board of Directors.
