It was established to champion a programme of exhibitions of contemporary art of a national and international standard.
The first location for the Gallery was chosen to build on the Woollaston Estates established reputation and commitment to the visual, arts, music and literature, as well as the significant sculptures commissioned for the Vineyard by owner and philanthropist Glenn Schaeffer..
