Detailed description is 25. ve 26. Dönem Ak Parti Karaman Milletvekili, TBMM Tarım, Orman ve Köyişleri Komisyonu Başkanı, Pankobirlik Genel Başkanı.Türkmencamili Köyünde 1956 yılında dünyaya geldi. Konya Selçuk Üniversitesi’ni bitirdi. Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi’nde işletme okudu. Şanlıurfa’da öğretmen ve yönetici olarak görev yaptı 1985 yılında iş hayatına atıldı. Zirai ürünler ve tarım makineleri ticareti yaptı.1994 yılında Çumra Belediye Başkanlığına seçildi. 1999 yılında Konya Pancar Ekicileri Kooperatifi ve Konya Şeker, 2000 yılında PANKOBİRLİK Yönetim Kurulu Başkanlıklarına, daha sonra sırasıyla Şeker Kurumu, Milli Kooperatifler Birliği ve Şeker Kurulu Üyeliklerine seçildi. Dünya Pancar ve Kamış Üreticileri Birliği (WABCG) ile Uluslararası Avrupa Pancar Üreticileri Konfederasyonu (CIBE) Yönetim Kurulu Üyeliği görevlerinde bulundu. Konya Şeker’de projelendirdiği yatırımlarla aralarında Çumra Şeker Fabrikası, dünyanın tek kampüs içerisindeki en büyük Et ve Süt Entegre Tesisi, Dondurulmuş Parmak Patates Üretim Tesisi, Ham Yağ Fabrikası, Tohum Tesisi, Damla Sulama Sistemleri Üretim Tesisi, Patates Nişastası Fabrikası, Şekerli Mamüller ve Çikolata, Unlu Mamüller Bisküvi, Kraker, Kek Üretim Tesisleri, Kangal ve Soma Termik Santrali gibi 35’in üzerinde üretim tesisini Konya, Çumra, Seydişehir, Altınekin, Cihanbeyli, Meram, Karaman, Sivas ve Soma olmak üzere 9 ayrı kampüste Konya Şeker nezdinde kooperatifin üretici ortaklarına ve ülke ekonomisine kazandıran, tarım sektörüne yönelik Uydu Destekli Tarım Projesi ve Dana Bank gibi model projeleri hayata geçiren Konuk, sıvı şeker, biyoetanol, buharda kurutulmuş küspe gibi inovatif ürünlerin ülkemizde üretimini sağlarken, bir özel şirket eliyle ülkemiz tarihinin en iddialı ağaçlandırma kampanyasını başlatarak Türkiye nüfusu kadar fidanı toprakla buluşturmayı hedefledi. Konya Şekerin kurduğu vakıf eliyle ülkemizin kendi alanında ilk ihtisas üniversitesi olacak Konya Tarım ve Gıda Üniversitesinin kuruluş çalışmalarına öncülük eden Recep Konuk aralarında, yılın girişimcisi, tüketici dostu, yılın yenilikçisi, yılın çevrecisi gibi ödüllerin bulunduğu çok sayıda ödüle layık görüldü. 3 yıl süreyle dost ve kardeş ülke Kazakistan’ında Konya Fahri Konsolosluğunu üstlenen Konuk, 2010 yılında Başbakanlık tarafından Vakıf İnsan Plaketi ve Dünya Gıda Gününde FAO tarafından gıda güvenliğine yaptığı katkı nedeniyle madalya ile ödüllendirildi. Halen Pankobirlik ve Konya Pancar Ekicileri Kooperatifi Yönetim Kurulu Başkanlığını devam ettiren Recep Konuk’a, Selçuk Üniversitesi tarafından 2009 yılında Türk Tarım Sektörüne ve Ülke Ekonomisine yaptığı katkılar nedeniyle fahri doktorluk beratı verildi. 7 Haziran 2015’te 25.Dönem, 1 Kasım 2015’te 26. Dönem AK Parti Karaman Milletvekilliğine, 30 Kasım 2015’te TBMM Tarım, Orman ve Köyişleri Komisyon Başkanlığına seçilen Recep Konuk, evli ve üç çocuk babasıdır.
