Detailed description is The Rancho Bernardo High School Friends of the Library is a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the RBHS Library. The Rancho Bernardo High School Friends of the Library (RBHS FOL) is located in North County Inland area of San Diego County and was established in February 2006 as a non-profit 501(c)(3) charity. Our program is committed to providing tools for student research, fostering literacy, providing quality resources both in print and electronic formats and motivating our 2300 Rancho Bernardo High School (RBHS) students to achieve.. . Our library media center and digital technology program is the heart of our school with an average of 1,300 student visits per day. Student visits to the library have increased 52% over the last 10 years. Unfortunately, as our student needs for library tools has increased, equally our funding for library resources is at $0 per student from the Poway Unified School District.. . As a 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer organization devoted to the RBHS library, the RBHS FOL helps to raise money for temporary staffing, library books and other learning tools to meet the learning needs of our RBHS students. In addition, fundraising efforts by the RBHS FOL prove be a continued challenge not yielding the necessary dollars to cover the cost of technological advanced learning tools for the RBHS library.
