History: I have never done any sewing until after my father passed away in 2009 from Congestive Heart Failure. I didn't even know how to thread a machine much less use it. Before he passed, I had read a book where the wife had made the husband a quilt from his father's shirts. I decided after my dad passed that I would make quilts for each of his daughters so that we can imagine him wrapping his arms around us when we snuggled into it. There were 4 girls. My mother loved the idea and gladly let me get his shirts. I took me about a year and a half before I could emotionally start cutting up his shirts, but after I started quilting, I fell in love with it. The joy of the finished product to me is so special. I guess because I started with something so close to my heart. It turned into such a love that I wanted to share it with others. Memory quilts hold a special place for me, and I love doing them. I also like making baby quilts, and security blankets. I can take special orders of patterns, or if you just want a quilt, I am trying to build up my inventory.
