The street festival is free to wander and watch the carvers and listen to the music.
If you wish to try the Chili you can purchase a wristband for $5 and you are given a spoon.
You then may visit the chili booths to sample their chili The Annual Qualicum Beach Fire & Ice Street Festival is a fun family day featuring Chili Cook offs & Ice Sculpting Contest, Live Entertainment, Street Performers, Kids Zone including Bouncing Castle & More!.

The “Fire and Ice” themed day is a volunteer run, non-profit festival.
It is an exciting event that brings thousands of people from all over Vancouver Island to the Town of Qualicum Beach to sample chili and watch ice carvers transform blocks of ice into amazing sculptures.
It is recognized as one of their best events.
