.1961 yılında Erzurum’da doğan Prof.
Dr.
Orhan Karaca, ilk, ortaokul ve lisenin ardından Erzurum Atatürk Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Fizik Öğretmenliğinden mezun olduktan sonra ikinci üniversitesi Atatürk Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi'nden mezun oldu.
Bursa Uludağ Üniversitesi’nde yüksek lisans, İzmir Ege Ünviersitesi’nde de doktora yaptı.
Van 100.
Yıl Üniversitesi’nde 6 yıl görev yaptıktan sonra 1994 yılında Aydın’a gelerek Adnan Menderes Üniversitesi’nde göreve başladı.
1996 yılında profesör olan Karaca, uzun yıllar Ziraat Fakültesi Zootekni Bölümü’nde Öğretim Üyesi olarak görev yaptı.
Çine Meslek Yüksekokulu kuruluşunda yer alarak, müdür olarak da görev yaparken, Ziraat Fakültesi Zootekni Bölümü Kurucu Öğretim Üyeliği ve bölüm başkanlığı yaptı.
2007 - 2011 yılları arasında da Ziraat Fakültesi Dekanı olan Prof.
