Burada bölüm başkanı Prof.Dr. Raju Thomas, Prof.Dr. Rodney Davis ve halen Mayo Clinic, Rochester’da çalışmalarına devam eden Assoc. Prof. Eric Castle ile birlikte çalışmıştır. Pek çok özellikli, prostat, mesane ve böbrek ameliyatlarının yapıldığı ve Amerika’da robotik cerrahiyi ilk uygulayan tıp fakültelerinden biri olan, bu merkezde Dr. Fatih Atuğ’a, özverili ve başarılı çalışmaları sonucunda 2006 yılında Tulane Üniversitesi Üroloji Anabilim Dalı tarafından Tıp Fakültesi’nin düzenlediği bir törenle “Yılın En Başarılı Üroloji Uzmanı” ödülü verilmiştir.. . 2006 yılında robotik üroloji alanındaki eğitimini University of California Irvine’da Üroloji Bölümü’nde Prof. Dr. Thomas Ahlering ile birlikte yaptığı çalışmalar ile tamamlayan Dr. Fatih Atuğ, ABD’de robotik üroloji alanında yazılan en prestijli kitaplara davetli yazar olarak yazdığı bölümler ile akademik anlamdaki başarısını da uluslarası düzeyde kanıtlamıştır.. .
