Kara and Kelli Mardell are sisters and lifelong equestrians who have dedicated their lives and countless hours to equestrian sports. Following her sister’s footsteps, Kara began to develop her love of horses as Kelli led her pony around a small ring in their hometown. Through the years, Kelli has become an incredibly accomplished rider and trainer in a variety of disciplines, most notably her accomplishments in the dressage ring. Kara began dressage training at age 11 and continued in the discipline until the retirement of her dressage horse Valentino. While building her career and dressage foundation, Kelli was also working at the Kentucky Horse Park choreographing routines and musical arrangements for their renowned ‘Horses of the World’ show. Kara, beginning at age 10, also began to build a musical foundation in addition to time spent in equestrian sports. Kara became an accomplished musician, auditioning and performing with some of the best high school bands in the state. She was awarded spectacular musical scholarships which she accepted in attendance to college and began her work in music technology and studio production. Since then, the two have teamed together, developing carefully structured arrangements as Kelli progresses through her Intermediate I and additional tests in 2016.
