Detailed description is 太子站（Prince Edward Station）是港鐵觀塘綫和荃灣綫的跨月台轉車站，位於油尖旺區旺角北部彌敦道與太子道交界地底，取名橫跨車站的道路太子道，太子站分兩期興建，太子站東翼在1979年12月修正早期系統延長至尖沙咀時已經存在，但當時列車是通過不停車，直至西翼在1982年5月10日荃灣支綫通車時才整個太子站啟用，並拆解為觀塘綫及荃灣綫。太子站與觀塘綫及荃灣綫旺角站及東鐵綫旺角東站相距不遠。結構太子站是一個地底車站，共有3層，最高一層是大堂，下一層是荃灣綫往荃灣及觀塘綫往黃埔月台，而最低一層是觀塘綫往調景嶺和荃灣綫往中環月台。樓層大堂車站設有兩個收費區大堂，其中一個近E出入口的大堂只設有入閘機，並設有兩條分別通往不同層的月台的扶手電梯，並只會被啟用作下行用途。在油麻地站和黃大仙站有相似的設計，但後者並非全日開放的。商店及自助服務太子站設有不同類型的商店，包括便利店、麵包糕餅店、外賣店、時裝店、洗衣店等。站內亦設有各樣自助服務，包括自動櫃員機、自動售賣機和自動照相機。此外，站內亦設有香港郵政郵箱方便乘客在車站內投寄郵件、「iCentre」免費上網服務設施供乘客瀏覽萬維網的內容，以及「-{會員服務站}-」，供乘客登記為港鐵友禮會會員、查閱獎分及換領獎賞。洗手間由於太子站周邊200米範圍內並無設置公眾洗手間，故此港鐵公司於2008年1月決定在該站D、E出口興建洗手間。洗手間於2015年1月24日完成工程並開放予乘客使用。
