T-Shirt Quilts.

T-shirt quilts are a great way to get new life out of your shirts from high school, college, or your favorite sports team or past-time.
T-shirt quilts make excellent gifts for Christmas, birthdays and graduations..

The number of t-shirts needed vary by the design.
I can accommodate most requests.

Pricing includes applying a lightweight fusible interfacing to the back of your shirts.
This helps prevent stretching during the sewing and quilting process.
I also use high quality fabrics and threads.
The binding is also finished off hand.

Grid Style.
Each shirt is bordered in a fabric, called sashing.
Then, up to two borders can be added to the quilt to make it the size you desire.
The actual finished size is dependent on how the shirts are cut and laid out, as well as, the width of the borders..

Variable Style.
Each shirt is cut to size depending on the graphic on the shirt.
The shirts are organized in a fashion that is like a puzzle where there is no grid or repeated pattern.
The design varies based on the graphics on the shirts.
For example, a lap size shirt could take up to 40 shirts.
However, if you choose this style and don't have enough shirts to make the size you would like, I can add extra material.

Memory Quilts & Baby Clothes Quilts.

Memory quilts and baby clothes quilts can be made with as little or as much of your loved one's clothing as you like.
If you do not have enough for an entire quilt, don't worry.
Coordinating fabrics can be added to supplement the quilt top.

A light-weight fusible interfacing is applied to your clothing to prevent stretching during the cutting and quilting process.

Wedding Dress Quilts (and Other Formal Gowns).

Have a quilt made from your wedding dress! $200 deposit required.
If your dress does not have sufficient material to make the size quilt you desire, I can add fabric to supplement your quilt top.
I typically use a white quilter's cotton, however if you have another idea, such as incorporating your wedding colors or other materials, please let me know.
Most wedding dresses will can be made into a lap size (48x48 inches) quilt without adding additional quilting fabric.
A light-weight fusible interfacing is applied to the dress material after it has been cut to size.
Wedding dress quilts are hand quilted.
Most wedding dress quilts will require hand quilting because of the nature of the materials used in wedding gowns.
Other sizes are available, so please inquire for details.
(Please note: Regretfully, I am not accepting wedding dress quilt orders at this time.
I can only accept a few wedding dress project per year.).

Miniature Quilts.

A small memory quilt or baby clothes quilt can be made.
Hanging sleeve is sewn on the back.
Quilts are small enough to fit in some picture frames.
The frame may or may not be included.

Machine Quilting Services.
.
Do you like to make quilt tops but can't find the time to finish them? Have you found one in a loved one's attic that needs finished and you have no idea where to start? Let me help you.
I also will help you finish putting together a quilt (additional charges apply for that service)..

Batting--I prefer to quilt on batting that is 100% cotton or a blend that is 80% cotton/20% polyester (80/20).
I apologize cannot use 100% polyester batting with my machine..
.
Backing--When sending your backing, it needs to be larger than the quilt top, to allow for proper tension within the quilt frame.
As a rule-of-thumb, please allow an extra 4-6 inches on each side, on the top, and on the bottom.
Please ensure your quilt top is square.
I will not cut your top to square it up..

I use a 17" longarm quilting machine that is hand guided to quilt a pattern edge to edge of your quilt.
The charge to have same quilted pattern can be used from edge to edge, including borders is $0.02 per square inch.
This does not include the backing, batting or binding services..

To figure the total number of square inches, multiply the length x the wide of your quilt.
Then to figure the cost of quilting, take that number x the price per square inch noted above.
This is the cost for quilting service only.
It does not include the cost of batting, backing or any other service.

Please be sure your quilt top is pressed properly.
If you quilt top needs to be pressed, an additional charge of $10 may apply..

Also please be sure all hanging threads are cut and if the outside of your quilt is pieced, please stay stitch within 1/8 of an inch of the perimeter.
This will help your quilt lay better on frame and prevent puckering.
An additional charge of $10 may apply if this is not completed..

Binding Services.
.
Let me help you finish your project by completing the binding.
I machine sew the binding to the front of your quilt and then hand sew it to the back of your quilt..

The charge for binding services is per linear inch.
To calculate the cost of binding services, measure each side of your quilt and add those measurements together.
Multiply the sume of the 4 sides of your quilt by the applicable charge below..

Make biding with fabric you provide: $0.15 per linear inch.
Make binding with fabric I provide: $0.20 per linear inch.

Clothing must be clean and in good condition.
I will do my best with what you send me, but I cannot be responsible for clothing that is sent to me damaged.
The remnants will not be returned to you UNLESS you SPECIFICALLY request this.
