Detailed description is The church history as told by Mother Frances Wright. A Revival was started on the same spot which was a C.M.E. Methodist church. Mother Wright and others received the baptism of the Holy Ghost and the church was remodeled and others were added to the church. The Lot the church is on was presented by Bradley Lumber Co. . . Elder Peterson pastor from 1932 to until his death in 1948 . . Elder L. C. Cook became pastor in 1949. A great holy Ghost Revival was put on by Elder Cook and Elder Leo Williams where many souls were filled with the Holy Ghost in 1953. . . The Lord laid it upon Elder Cook's heart to build God a new house. The front Lawn of this same lot where he preached as never before and raised money to help build the Church. later Elder Tyson came from Oklahoma and ran a great revival and God gave him the name of our church, "Power House". . After the Passing of Elder Cook in 1974, Elder James Booker Sr. the assistant pastor became pastor of Power House.
