ARTICLE I. . . Name. . The club will be known as The Pierce College Criminal Justice Club (P.C.C.J.C.). Club Motto. “Justice for All”. . ARTICLE II. . Purpose. . SECTION 1: To promote, teach and create fundamental steps towards the education of our peers, in the understanding of the Criminal Justice System, what the Criminal Justice System stands for, and how to apply it to daily life and career situations. To allow for better relations between the community, the police agencies, the courts, corrections & Pierce College.. . . ARTICLE III. . Membership. . SECTION 1: In order to become a voting member of the Criminal Justice Club, currently enrolled students in Pierce College must maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher and attend meetings and activities. “Open” membership is for those who are employed in the Criminal Justice Field, and all Pierce College Students. At least 1 officer or CJ club members will attend each of the ASCO meetings and Student Government meetings.. . . ARTICLE IV. . Officers. . Section 1: Elections of Officers are held every fall quarter for the following academic year, and other quarters if need be.. . Section 2: Each officer is elected for a one-year term.. . Section 3: All officers must be a voting member in good standing.. . Section 4: All officers must maintain a 2.5 or better cumulative GPA.. . Section 5: Officers are:. . President:. Serves as the primary leader of P.C.C.J.C. and Student Government Liaison. 2011-2012 Year is Tami Schack.. . Vice President (s):. Assists the President, & represents the CJ club when the President is unable to do so. VP for the 2011-2012 Year is Jamie Edgington.. . Events Co-Ordinator(s):. Serve as primary facilitators & points-of-contact for events, programs, panels, and CJ club community empowerment programs. For 2011-2012 they are Events Coordinator is Howing Yan Ho (Myra Ho) & Technical Specialist is Tara Tapp.. . Secretary/Treasurer(s):. Serves as primary bookkeeper & note-taker for all P.C.C.J.C. meetings, events & activities, plus represents the CJ club when the President & Vice Presidents are unable to do so. Secretary 2011/12 is Jen Self. & Treasurer 2011-2012 is Stephanie Jones.. . ARTICE V. . Any Amendments or changes to the CJ Club Constitution must be presented to a meeting of the club for approval. In order to amend the CJ Club Constitution, the change must be agreed to by 1/3 of the voting members of the CJ club. Then that change must be submitted, in writing, to the Pierce College Student Government Programs Coordinator where a 2/3 majority vote is needed for ratification.. . . . .
