This includes dancing, moving to different rhythms and sounds, and vocalising one on one or in a group.
The focus here is always PLAY.
Although I have over twenty years experience teaching music to adults, teens and children, and a deep knowledge of classical music structures and language, the focus for learning is child/adult/group/individual based, and the play and interest of each concerned drives the lessons or play times..
I am able to teach classical piano, and am trained to perform at near concert level, however, i am always inspired and driven to follow the focus of the learner, and stay within the learning space myself..
This means, improvisation, composition, reading and writing music, listening and analysing music, pitch,texture and form, and popular chord based techniques are all encouraged..
Lessons are booked online or over the phone, and happen at your house, so you will need a keyboard or piano if you would like to learn the piano, or an accordion if that is your chosen maker of noise, or a space big enough to run and jump and play in if it is a group play time you would like..
