Who Are We?.
Pay It Forward Boston is a small group of volunteers.
We are here to discuss, and spread awareness of this simple kindness spreading concept from a book to a movie, and now social movement.
We do hope to connect people and communities together, maintain our network of information and media, as well as answering questions.

What Is Our Purpose?.
We are a small group whose purpose is implementing, sharing and spreading the habit of doing good deeds for our fellow human beings and teaching the concept of PAYING IT FORWARD to others.

Our main focus is to get everyone involved that we can.
Random Kindness costs nothing and can be done anywhere and at anytime especially spontaneously.
We want to help show people how to get involved, how to provide help and how to pay it forward.This page is here to teach and raise awareness of the cause in hopes to make a positive change in our society by offering random gestures of kindness.

Scenario example: it's winter, you're out for a stroll, you see someone who's car is stuck in a snow bank , you then offer to help them push it out and you successfully get them out of the snow, this obviously the thankful stranger wants to give you a tip...
are you ready, this is what you do 1) thank him/her for the offered tip DO NOT ACCEPT IT, 2) Then you ask them to do you a simple favor instead, to "Pay it Forward please" they are to tell at least 1 person about why they are.
say buying their coffee and that the catch is they MUST explain why they are doing the kind deed and to pass on the words PAY IT FORWARD.
3) make sure they do not pay it back to you or that does not spread this idea properly.

Where Do We Serve?.
Pay It Forward Boston is primarily focused on the communities within Massachusetts; however we are here to hopefully spread a global movement of smiles and kindness.

Many of our supporters are outside of Massachusetts, and we participate in efforts throughout the country.
The Pay It Forward Foundation and the Global Pay It Forward Movement have a vast network of participants from 62 countries, as of the last count.
Pay It Forward Boston is only one piece of the global network..

How Do We Serve?.
Our primary way of accomplishing this purpose is through awareness, both public and private.
Through our online communities, we bring people together with stories, ideas, events, projects and sharing.
Public events in our communities are designed to educate and inspire people to make PAY IT FORWARD a part of their lives.

Why Do We Serve? .
The concept we were introduced to in Catherine Ryan Hyde’s novel “Pay It Forward” and in the later adapted movie of the same name, is a simple one.
Every individual has within them the power to change lives and improve the world – even now in their own lives, regardless of their circumstances, talents or means.
It starts with doing a kind deed for another person.
Rather than getting paid back, you instruct the recipient to PAY IT FORWARD to three people, by doing a good deed for them.
Each recipient of those good deeds would be instructed to PAY IT FORWARD to three more people in need.
These selfless deeds can be a small effort or sacrifice for you, but mean the world to the person on the other end of that deed and to the layers of people as they practice PAY IT FORWARD.
For each individual, as with Pay It Forward Boston, there is no way to know how far our good deeds can reach, how much impact we can have, or how endless the potential is.
One thing is certain; we all know every good deed has a positive impact!.
