Detailed description is We are a Metchosin farm selling local free-range chicken, lamb, pork and wheat.
Parry Bay Sheep Farm is a mixed farm that has been operating for thirty years in the Metchosin area.
We also lease pasture land throughout the region, so our sheep can be seen grazing in the Highlands, North Saanich and the Mount Newton Valley.
Our lamb can be found in many fine butcher shops and restaurants in Victoria.
Our wheat, grown cooperatively with Stillmeadow Farm, is used by Wild Fire Bakery on Quadra Street to make their wonderful whole wheat breads.
We also raise free-range chickens.
We sell all these items, plus pork grown by Stillmeadow Farm, at our weekly farm market, every Saturday from noon until 3:00 at 4198 Stillmeadow Road in Metchosin..

Our 300 ewes roam on pasture for nine months of the year, and are moved frequently to manage the grass growth.

Around Christmas time they are moved into the barn and sheared, and stay there until after their lambs are up and vigorous, and then they are moved back onto pasture again.
Thousands of children have enjoyed the lambing time over the years as many school groups make field trips to our farm.
