Detailed description is The Oxford Soccer Club tryouts will be on June 17, 2017 at Seymour Lake Park in Oxford. CLUB GOALS. The goal of the Oxford Soccer Club is to provide a quality and competitive soccer program at a reasonable price, with trained and dedicated coaches, played on premier soccer fields.. . TEAM SELECTION. Players will be selected on the basis of technical skill, effort, teamwork, attitude, knowledge of the game and sportsmanship... . PRACTICE, TRAINING AND GAMES. Fall practices will begin in late July or early August, winter training will begin in January and spring practices will begin in March. The fall and spring seasons will consist of ten games, five home and five away. All home games will be played at Seymour Lake Township Park. A fall tournament is included in club fees. The winter season will vary by age group, but will consist of at least eight games. There is a team camp August 6th through 8th at Seymour Lake Park. . . WHAT DOES IT COST?. The cost is estimated at $500 for U8 players, $900 for U9 through U14 for the entire year and $250 for U15 and above for one season. For U9 through U14, the cost includes administration, uniforms, referee fees, registration, winter indoor games and training, summer camp, and one tournament in the fall. Summer camp, the fall tournament, and one winter session are not included at the u8 level.. . TRYOUTS FOR FALL 2017 - Spring 2018 . Tryouts will be held at Seymour Lake Park on the Soccer Fields on Saturday June 17, 2017. Once the player has registered, the player would report to the assigned field for the appropriate age group. Each player will go through a series of skill stations. When finished with the skill stations, all candidates will be put into game situations for further evaluation. All additional tryout information can be found at www.oxparkrec.org. There will be a second TRYOUT date for those who could not make the first date. Each player will be trying out with his or her age group. . . REGISTRATION NIGHT. If your child is chosen to participate on a team in the Oxford Soccer Club, there will be registration nights on at the parks and recreation office located at 20 W. Burdick St, Oxford, MI 48371. Players and parents are required to attend one of the nights to turn in registration paperwork and be sized for a uniform.
