Detailed description is A rural Catholic parish located in La Joya, NM with 5 mission churches in Contreras, Las Nutrias, Veguita, Abeytas, and Sabinal. Pastor: Fr. Felipe Valadez Our Lady of Sorrows is a parish of The Archdiocese of Santa Fe and is located in La Joya, NM (between Belen and Socorro). Our pastor is Rev. Felipe Valadez. We are a mostly rural parish with many farms and ranches in the area. Although our mother church and rectory are located in La Joya, the parish office and parish hall are located in Las Nutrias, about 10 miles north. Our Mass schedule is as follows:. Mondays 9am @La Joya. Tuesdays 9am @Abeytas. Wednesdays 9am@Contreras. and 5pm @Veguita (Spanish). Thursdays 9am @Las Nutrias. Fridays 9am @Sabinal. Saturday Vigil 6pm @Veguita (Spanish). Sundays 8:30am @Abeytas/Sabinal (alternating weekly). and10:30am@La Joya/Las Nutrias (alternating weekly). . Masses of solemnities are at La Joya. Holy Days may vary....
