Detailed description is Wendy McRight MA, CADC, can help you with your drug or alcohol problem and be your life coach to help in many areas in a private setting locally or online. I started Opportunity Knox so I could better serve my community. I was born in Barbourville in 1971 to a mother and father whose family's were also rooted in Knox County for many generations. My father joined the Air Force so we moved away in 1976. After living in several places over the years and eventually marrying my husband of 21 years who was also in the Air Force and after his retirement in 2008 we decided to move to Barbourville and raise our three children close to our family.. . I received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of West Florida, Pensacola in 1995 and I completed my Master's Degree from Bowie State University in Counseling Psychology in 2012. I became a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CADC) in 2013 after working in Corbin at an outpatient drug rehab program from 2008 to 2013. I also worked at Comp Care in a program called Kid's Now in 2013 and then started a job with CVADD with the Department of Aging working with senior citizens in our area from 2014 to present. . . I want to help the people in my community in as many ways I am able. Through counseling, coaching and support, by offering career opportunities and holding workshops to encourage personal growth and development and to provide ways for folks to move forward by teaching entrepreneurial ideas and ways to become independent business owners.. .
