92037, on October 9th, 2011, directed by, beautiful and savvy, Susie Nguyen.
Susie set her mind in motion and made her dreams come true through a love for people and a passion for dance.
Her contagious nature has made its mark on all those surrounding her and now, in full force, La Jolla is really rockin daily at Ooh La La Dance Academy! Ooh La La's goal is to touch the lives of all those who step foot inside it's classic dwelling of Vintage style/Paris/Burlesque Interior Design.Once upon a time, Susie had a dream to dance & travel the world.
Growing up, she was raised in a very strict, conservative household that did not foster movement & expression of dance.
It was only upon entering high school that she was able to charge forward with her deep desire to dance.
The only things keeping her away from being a dancer were her two left feet, lack of coordination and her obliviousness to musicality.
With unrelenting conviction, spirit & discipline, Susie has worked every day in the last two decades, moving & shaking to master her craft.
Discovering freedom through movement, the power in music and the secret of life through dance, the rest is history.

Susie loves intensified living, adventure and spontaneity.
Always laughing, embracing change and coming up with new ideas, Susie keeps life exhilarating! She pirouettes, sails forbidden seas, gallivants the globe and does it in high heels! She has a powerful religion and it's called Life.
Dance makes her feel physical, strong and empowered so she equates Movement with Freedom.
"Music is my diet & dance feeds my soul." In 1996, Susie was first introduced to salsa dancing during her study abroad in Costa Rica by her cheerleading teammates.
During & after college, Susie continued to take classes in all genres of dance.
Fast forward to 2002, when she fell in love with salsa dancing and "Salsa Susie" was born.
She learned from Alex Da Silva, choreographer on the hit TV show SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE.
Addiction was an understatement as she taught salsa at the four top Dance Studios in Santa Barbara.
Relishing uncertainty of life on the road, at 25 Susie packed her bags and surfboard to exotic-erotic Brazil.
Wrapping herself in blue water, she learned Portuguese 101 and danced samba with the Brazilians.
In 2005, she traveled to Buenos Aires to learn Tango the authentic way in Argentina.
Upon her return to the States, she started teaching salsa classes at the Firehouse YMCA La Jolla.
In 2006, Susie was one of the first dancers to bring lifts & tricks to the San Diego salsa scene by incorporating her signature flying cabaret into her entertaining dance shows..

Susie traveled across international borders in 2007 to compete, perform and teach.
Susie & her partner was the first San Diego couple ever to represent San Diego at the 3rd ESPN World Salsa Championships placing 15th in the world.
That same year Susie created Ooh La La Dance Company with the debut of her performance dance troupes: The Hot Tamales & Cosabellas.
She started teaching kids & teens all over San Diego to build the future talent of Ooh La La.
She began pioneering the fusion of Ladies Latin Styling with Burlesque which is the most seductive part of Ooh La La!.
In 2008, Susie's master plan finally transpired when she said goodbye to Corporate America resigning from her six figure sales career to jump start Ooh La La Dance Company's first international tour to Bora Bora.
Having extensively traveled through 65 countries, she wanted to incorporate world travel, her second passion into the culture of Ooh La La.
In 2009, Susie and her principal dancers did their dance tour in Turks & Caicos, Australia, Bali, Thailand, Cambodia & Vietnam.
In 2010, the destination was Greece & Egypt.
With all this great energy, Ooh La La attracted the ever-so-talented British Bombshell, Joanna Loughran to become the Co-Director of Cosabellas.
At the same time, Raw Artist also nominated & awarded Ooh La La Dance Company for 2010 BEST PERFORMING ARTIST OF THE YEAR Ooh La La's first Indie-Award! 2011 proved to be an even more unbelievable year for Ooh La La.
Susie started offering 20 weekly dance classes to the schedule at the Firehouse YMCA La Jolla.
Napa Auto Parts also started sponsoring Ooh La La Cosabellas and the girls were hand-selected to perform at the Mexico soccer games.
Susie teamed up with Abel Pena 3X ESPN World Salsa Champion & also toured with her dancers to New York, Morocco & Spain.
NBC's America's Got Talent hand-picked the Ooh La La Cosabellas and featured the Latin Burlesque Troupe in season 6 America's Got Talent.
Ooh La La organically is becoming the grass-roots dance company that is climbing into the hearts & minds of San Diego & worldwide.
Actively pursuing the lifelong dream of opening a Dance Academy everything is coming to fruition with the Grand Opening of Ooh La La Dance Academy.
