A tradition for over 60 years in Oneonta, NY August 2016 Announcements from the ONS Board of Directors:. . It is with heavy hearts that the Oneonta Nursery School Board of Directors has decided to close ONS, after over 60 years of educating children through play. This difficult decision comes after a multiyear struggle to find children to attend as well as make ends meet financially. The dedication of our head teacher Kelly Wells and the board members who have served over the years have been a strong power in keeping the school open for this long. We also thank the greater Oneonta community for its support over the years, including our most recent home, the First United Presbyterian Church.
