Detailed description is Ohio Horse Park Center for Therapeutic Horsemanship We offer therapeutic riding lessons, one session per week for a six weeks. These lessons are available for individuals and we offer group sessions as well. The lessons are planned around the individuals schedule and the instructors schedules. . . These lessons are created specifically for each individual. Instructors will review the paperwork for the individual, research the diagnosis for that particular individual, and select what horse, tack, and activites best fit that rider.. . There are many student instructors who preparing themselves and teaching under the supervision of the certified instructors.. . Our center cannot run without the help of our volunteers! We need an average of 3 volunteers per individual during an individual riding lesson. One volunteer leads the horse while two others walk on either side of the rider. We have volunteer trainings at the beginning of every therapy season. We offer sessions Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. If one is interested in volunteering please contact the therapy office.. . Our center has served a variety of different disabilites, including; Autism, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Learning Disabilites, Veterans, and many more. . .
