Hello! I’m Catherine Taylor, a birth and postpartum doula serving Kamloops, British Columbia and surrounding area..

For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by the transformation of a woman from pregnancy through to childbirth and motherhood.
Since becoming a mother of two precious boys, my own birth and postpartum experiences have inspired me to channel this interest towards supporting other mothers and fathers on their journey toward parenthood.

My role as a postpartum doula is to “mother the mother” by allowing her to recover both physically and emotionally, and by creating a more relaxing home environment that will help both parents transition into parenthood with confidence.
I provide assistance to moms and their families in such areas as: emotional support; breastfeeding support and newborn care; overnight support; sibling transitions; meal preparation; and light housekeeping duties.
Moms who have had caesarean sections, multiples, special-needs babies, or who had difficult births can obviously benefit from postpartum support, but so can adoptive families and moms who had straight forward pregnancies and births.
