Detailed description is Norwood Community Preschool is a not-for-profit organisation and has been operating in the local community since 1959. We are a ‘Registered Care Provider’ Norwood Community Preschool believes that all children have the right to feel safe and be free from harm. We will endeavour to provide an excellent learning environment for children before school in partnership with the children, their families and the community. This learning will be based on diversity and respect.. NCP is a valuable part of the local community having been operating for more than 50 years so that more than one generation of the same family has been able to attend. Our staff are a vital part of our organisation and we will support their long term commitment to this community with ongoing learning and reflective practice.. The uniqueness of our bushland environment is also of great importance to us and we will cherish it with sustainable practices.. Norwood Community Preschool is a not-for-profit organisation and has been operating in the local community since 1959. . . Norwood is financially supported by fees from parents, NSW Government grants and parent fundraising.. . No fees are charged for public holidays or during the NSW school holidays.. . We are a ‘Registered Care Provider’ for Child Care Benefit (CCB) and a receipt will be provided to those eligible. As we are not a Long Day Care service we are unable to offer a Child Care Tax rebate (CCR).. . The centre is licensed to enrol 25 children per day aged 3 to under 6 years old. . . Our hours are 8.30am to 3.30pm and operate during NSW school terms.. . Norwood Preschool is situated at the end of Chelmsford Rd close to Asquith train station, local bus services and has plenty of convenient, safe parking.. . The learning environment is surrounded by bush and parkland.. .
