Detailed description is The KC Chapter fosters lifelong relationships through initiatives and opportunities that advance the University and its Alumni, future alumni, and friends.
The Northwest Missouri State University board members of the Kansas City Alumni & Friends chapter, would like to extend a personal invitation to become an active part of an organization created to serve you -- an organization designed to connect thousands of Kansas City alumni, students, parents, friends, and supporters.
Before we say anymore, let’s dispel some myths..

Myth: We just want to ask you for money..
Reality: Our local chapter isn’t about money.
No treasury.
No financial obligations.
We simply want to introduce you to fellow Bearcats in the area and keep you connected to the university.
Our hope is you support Northwest, but any decision to do so is yours alone and would be done directly with the university itself..

Myth: An alumni chapter is not geared for young, recent graduates..
Reality: Our chapter is open to all ages, and our variety of events typically draws everyone from students and recent graduates to – well, let’s just say "tenured" alums.
We are always looking for individuals ready to become active in our chapter – no matter your age..

Myth: Events are just for alumni..
Reality: You’ll see our official name includes "friends." All our members aren't necessarily alumni, some simply attended, some have family who attended, and still others are just fans of the university.
No matter the history, we all have one thing in common: we’re proud to represent Northwest Missouri State University!.
