Detailed description is Martial Arts School NEMA Dojo has been providing martial arts training in the Rochester area since 1979.
In April 1994, we relocated our school to Chili Center in the Chili-Paul Plaza.
Our professional 3,800 square foot facility includes two dojo’s or training areas including a matted area for the grappling oriented programs (i.e.
Jujitsu, Aiki Jujitsu, Judo, Katame Waza and QDT).
The facility also includes heavy bags, mirrors, a kickboxing training facility and other equipment necessary for the successful practice of the martial arts..

NEMA Institute offers over 40 group classes a week in the following martial arts:.
Okinawan Karate Do / Tode Jitsu .
Okinawan Kobudo (weapons).
QDT Self Defense & Tactical Weapons Training.
Japanese Jujitsu .
Tai Chi Chuan.
Nihon Bujitsu (Japanese weapons of the Samurai).

Group classes are available for adults of any age and children starting at four years of age.
Additionally, we offer private lessons in Karate for students who desire to work one-on-one with a staff instructor.
NEMA Dojo also offers specialized programs such as Quick Defensive Tactics (a reality based self defense program), personal safety and conflict management classes for children and Camp Budo for Kids (this summer) to name a few.
