The North Wall Community Development Project (NWCDP), formerly the North Wall Women’s Centre, was established in 1985 by a group of local women who recognised the need for a centre that would facilitate and accommodate local women in providing a meeting place.

Based in Lower Sheriff Street, the centre seeks to empower and develop the local community and to improve co-operation between relevant agencies, the local community, its stakeholders and other audiences.

The Centre also seeks to provide a global perspective on women’s issues, child welfare, social exclusion and facilitate interagency solutions rather than focus on single-issue perspectives and single-agency solutions..
The Centre has grown in strength and is now being recognised as a valuable resource within Dublin North, particularly with regard to community development.
