Detailed description is The North Spencer Community Action Center in Dale, IN is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping those in need in our community.
We are about Neighbor Helping Neighbor.
We provide gently used or new clean clothing and household items in our Thrift Store at discounted prices..brand names included.
All proceeds from Thrift store goes back into the store to help maintain the store and help those in need.
You can donate items during regular store hours...please do not leave items outside.
Please call with questions of items we can accept.
We cannot accept mattresses or mattress pads, tv's or electrical equipment we cannot test, computers or printers.
We are not set up to pick up items.
One can also donate your time helping in the Thrift store..
Our food bank is for those who meet income guidelines in Spencer County.
Our hours for the food bank is in the general information.
If needed, those in need of the food bank can come every 30 days.
A photo id with proof of residence is needed when you come to sign up.
Monetary donations can be made to the food bank during store hours or by mail..NSCAC P.O.

We give a holiday food basket at Christmas along with a regular food basket.

We help with Toys for Tots and Angel Tree at Christmas as well.

We have emergency assistance for those who may have a fire in their home or a natural disaster or other situation where clothing and supplies are needed.

We house the Salvation Army for help with utilities and rent every Thursday from 1:30- 2:30 p.m.
