Detailed description is Nichols Tenney Farm is a multi-generational family farm operating in Hollis, NH. William Tenney was an early settler of Hollis, moving to the community from Rowley, Massachusetts around 1747. About this time, he built a home and developed a farm at 16 Pepperell Road which would later become Nichols Tenney Farm. The home still stands in its original location, set back from Pepperell Road through a lane of maples.. . In the 1960s, Hollis Nichols, an active resident in the community, purchased the farm from the 6th generation of the Hollis Tenney family. It then became known as Nichols Tenney Farm: named for the two families who have lived there since its beginning. Hollis’ grandsons, Benjamin & Charles, continue to operate the farm to this day, raising livestock, and working side by side with nearby Brookdale Farm to maintain the crops and orchards. . .
