The New Mexico Out of School Time Network (NMOST) brings together policymakers, educators, childcare providers, youth development workers, and other stakeholders interested in ensuring positive youth development opportunities and outcomes through afterschool programs. The mission of the Network is to create, strengthen and sustain a statewide system of support for quality afterschool/ out of school time programs. To ensure a viable and sustained network structure within the state, NMOST established a leadership council with diverse members from across the state whose role it is to guide the implementation of a statewide strategic plan focused on afterschool out of school time program quality, public awareness of the benefits of a quality afterschool out of school time experience, advocacy and policy development, professional development, linked learning strategies, and partnership development to increase the network base.
