Offering Ladies Kick Boxing , Self Defense & Zumba New Bern Karate and Fitness owes its roots to 2012 when Sensei Ryland Matthews began teaching Isshinryu Karate at River Bend Town Hall with 4 students.
By December 2014 there was a need to move to a new location.
It was Sensei Matthews mission to offer Isshinryu Karate and other Martial Arts to children and adults alike.
Unfortunately, Sensei Matthews passed away in April 2017; however, a new sensei and two of Sensei Matthews students have taken the helm and will keep Sensei Matthews legacy alive..
