Dance Arts Theatre was founded in 1985 as a non-profit dance company.
The company was established to offer young dancers an opportunity to experience the professional side of the performing arts and enrich the area with an excellent new source of dance.
DAT’s repertoire includes The Nutcracker Ballet, Peter and the Wolf, excerpts of Les Sylphide, Stars and Stripes, and Coppelia.
The company has toured throughout eastern N.C.
and has had the distinction of performing with the N.C.
symphony and the Eastern Symphony orchestra.
