Detailed description is Late Natasreshta Prabhakar Panshikar founded Natyasampada in the year 1963. Since then, Natyasampada has produced 50 plays which include some milestones like Toh Me Navech ,Ashrunchi Zaali Phule ,Sangeet Katyar Kaljat Ghusli ,Ithe Oshalla Mrutyu ,Thank You Mr Glad ,Mala Kahi Sangaychay ,Jithe Gavtas Bhale Phuttat ,Veej Mhanali Dhartila, Be-iman.... Anant Panshikar,his nephew, took over the mantel of Natyasampada around 2005 and under the guidance of Shri Prabhakar Panshikar, produced "Sangeet Avagha Rang Ekachi Zaala". This play proved to be very successful and became instrumental in reviving the 'sangeet' natak tradition.Besides winning many awards ,this play was applauded by over 2500 strong audience at the BMM , Philadelphia.. After the sad demise of Shri Prabhakar Panshikar ,Anant Panshikar revived some old classic plays - Vichcha Majhi Puri Kara by Vasant Sabnis 'Varyavarchi Varaat ' by Pu La Deshpande followed by ' Lekure Udand Jali ' by Vasant Kanetkar which won the MIFTA '12 award in Singapore .Then followed another classic of 1936 written by Sahitya Samrat Acharya Prahlad Keshav Atre titled 'Lagnachi Bedi '. On its 50th year in 2013, A brand new play ' Zalaach Pahije ' was produced.. As part of its endeavor to preserve & promote Marathi Theatre and provide opportunities to young talents , Anant Panshikar formed a platform - Natyasampada Kala Manch. Play competitions among college students across Maharashtra & Goa is the prime focus besides producing commercial & experimental plays.. .
