Come tutte le cose belle che danno un senso alla vita, anche un’idea come quella di sempre, di creare prima o poi un gruppo che suonasse un repertorio anni ’70 - ’80, che ci desse la possibilità di girare la nostra penisola in lungo e in largo, si è fatta realtà.. L’idea nasce e si sviluppa nel tempo grazie ad un gruppo di amici musicisti della terra ascolana che, anni addietro hanno avuto l’opportunità di formare un gruppo di Rhythm and Blues con il quale hanno suonato in giro riscuotendo grandi successi per i brani proposti in repertorio. Gli stessi, ormai veterani del mestiere pronti e maturi per mettere a fuoco un obiettivo così importante nel settembre 2015, si impegnano per formare e dare vita per l’appunto all'attuale orchestra “Musikando Big Band”.. L’orchestra si annovera di giovani musicisti di talento, tutti diplomati in Conservatorio, provenienti da varie parti del nostro territorio e di varie etnie ed esperienze musicali e culturali. . La scelta del repertorio è decisamente vincente, in quanto sono stati selezionati brani tra i più belli e famosi di quegli anni.. La BigBand propone di portare tale spettacolo in giro per le piazze e nei teatri di tutta Italia. Essa ha come referente l’Associazione Musicale e Culturale “Musikando” di Ascoli Satriano.. La BigBand esegue nel repertorio arrangiamenti originali specifici per il suo organico, brani famosi di grandi artisti come: Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Gloria Gaynor, Freddie Mercury, Billy Joel, Earth Wind & Fire, ecc… . L’organico orchestrale è composto da una sezione di fiati, una sezione ritmica, una voce solista e il maestro direttore ed arrangiatore..
