Detailed description is Museo declarado "Sitio de Interés Cultural" por la Legislatura de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires mediante la Resolución 290 del año 2004.. El doctor Genaro Giacobini nació en Buenos Aires el 6 de mayo de 1889.. Tuvo una extensa trayectoria como médico, especialmente en su barrio, Parque de los Patricios. Allí atendía a sus pacientes sin cobrarles honorarios y entregándoles los medicamentos en forma gratuita. También se desempeñó como Consejero Escolar, promoviendo la creación de asociaciones cooperadoras y la universalización del guardapolvo blanco en todo el país.. Fue creador del Partido Salud Pública por el que fue electo Concejal Metropolitano entre 1932 y 1935. Entre sus proyectos más destacados están la creación del Instituto Municipal de Asistencia a los menores abandonados y desvalidos, la obligación de grabar la fecha de envase de los productos alimenticios y la libreta sanitaria. Como concejal favoreció a los barrios del Sur. Desde 1918 hasta su muerte, ocurrida el 10 de marzo de 1954, desarrolló su actividad profesional y partidaria en su consultorio de Av. Caseros 3079.. Su hija, Elina, continuó la profesión paterna en el mismo consultorio hasta el año 2000, manteniendo la sala de espera con el mismo mobiliario, la camilla de atención, la vitrina y la mesita que usó su padre. Este consultorio fue declarado “Museo Barrial” por el Foro de la Memoria de Parque de los Patricios el 6 de diciembre de 2003 y así se sumó a otros lugares emblemáticos como la Casa Museo Tomás Espora, el Molino Harinero Osiris, el Estadio Tomás A. Ducó o el Instituto Félix Bernasconi, que enriquecen el patrimonio del barrio.
