It is one of the oldest institutions. In olden days there was a big board at the entrance which read ''MUNICIPAL HIGH SCHOOL CUDDAPAH" beneath it 1957. The ground of the school was very big. Sometimes there used to be 6 cricket matches played at the same time. YSR ACA stadium was in limited use that time Cuddapah was the spelling then.The town was very peaceful with lot of greenery.
