We first met in 2013 as students in Haywood Community College's Professional Crafts - Clay program, and pretty early on, we realized that we all shared a similar happy… rooted in making.
Not only pots, but also the less tangible, more vital stuff.
Like making space for imagination, imperfection, all things illogical while splendid.
We each thrive in taking all that in, wrapping it up, throwing it into our pots, and sending it out in the world.
These similarities are what made us want to start a business together, and in 2014 we broke ground on Mudhoneyz Studio, the home for our business and so much more..
Building a studio and kiln together allows us to balance each others weaknesses and strengths, and share the workload of marketing, bookkeeping, overhead expenses, wood chopping, moving wood, moving bricks, land maintenance and the ever growing list of things you do when you own your own business.
