Mountain Aire Veterinary Hospital has been an Accredited Member of the American Animal Hospital Association from 1989-2014. As of November 2014 we are no longer seeking membership as an AAHA accredited hospital. The new AAHA policy regarding dentals would force us to anesthetize patients we feel should not go under anesthesia for an elective procedure. . . Since 2004, we had proudly and repeatedly earned recognition as a THREE YEAR MEMBER, which is the highest honor a veterinary hospital can receive. What this meant was that MAVH exceeded the AAHA standards to such a degree that we were not required to have another inspection until each three year period expired. . . Regardless of our AAHA accreditation standing, we will continue to improve and raise our standards in order to maintain such an accomplishment and provide our clients and their pets with the highest quality of care available. If AAHA chooses to change their policy at a future date we may reconsider our membership application status..
