Detailed description is We are the Mock Trial team at UMM. Mock Trial is a unique combination of debate, speech and acting where we conduct an imitation trial competitively. We are the Mock Trial team at the University of Minnesota, Morris. In a unique combination of debate, speech, improv and acting, we prepare over the course of the academic year to compete in mock trial tournaments around the country. . . We conduct imitation trials with members of other colleges and universities where each institution has students portraying witnesses and acting as attorneys for a single side of a case, which is new each academic year.. . Our Mock Trial teams competes regularly in the Twin Cities, Wisconsin and Iowa. We also travel to a distant tournament at least once each year. In previous years, we have attended tournaments in Tucson, Philadelphia, Miami St. Louis and the San Francisco Bay Area.. . Our team is 100% student-led with no coach.
