The grounds include 1.25 acres of lawn, garden, redwoods, and two separate beach areas for swimming or launching canoes on the scenic Russian River.

Conveniently located in downtown Monte Rio, the Meadowview Cottages are a charming group of 3 cottages sharing the same property, with access to the river from the back of the property, and a lovely meadow area between the property and the river.
Each cottage has a cozy gas operated fireplace and private deck with hot tub for your enjoyment..

There is a pathway at the back of the property leading to the meadow, which in turn leads to the Monte Rio Public Beach.
In summer, you can rent kayaks and canoes at the beach, and at the cottages we provide some inflatable mattresses and beach chairs which you are welcome to use..
Each cottage has a full kitchen if you’d like to prepare your own home cooked meals, but there are also good options within walking distance for dining out:.
The Rio Bridge Café serves a great breakfast or lunch.
Don’s Dogs serves hot dogs, snacks and beer; and Fern’s market and deli is right next door.
Across the Monte Rio Bridge are the Highland Dell and the Village Inn, both excellent choices for dinner or to have a drink in the afternoon overlooking the river..
If you don’t mind driving a few minutes, the town of Guerneville is 5 miles away, and Occidental is 7 miles away; both have excellent choices for dining out.
