Detailed description is The GOOD MEDICINE PROGRAM provides school based supportive services, education and we are community involved. The Montana SOARS: GOOD MEDICINE PROGRAM provides school based supportive services, such as Individual, group and family supports. We provide Youth Mental Health First Aid and Question Pursue and Refer (QPR) suicide education in the schools and community. There are five Youth Mental Health Specialist in the Browning Public Schools and they work with students who are being negatively influenced by substance abuse, mental illness, domestic violence, bullying, suicide, or other self- harming behaviors, homelessness, post-traumatic stress, grief and loss, violence, and cognitive thinking errors and other disorders or deficits, to name a few. Each Youth Mental Health Specialist helps facilitate a Student Support team in their designated building to assist in get proper services to children in need. . The Good Medicine Program participates in a community advisory boards, coalitions and various teams. We have implementing the CONNECT- Browning Referral System into the community, that will provide a safe secure web-based system for the schools and community can send referrals to ensure the best possible care for clients that is confidential..
