Formed in 1962 on the 50th anniversary of the City of Plentywood, it is dedicated to the hardy pioneers who settled and developed this area of which we are so proud..

In 1964 the corporation and its founding board opened The Pioneer Manor.
It consisted of 32 living units, a beautiful lobby, and an elegant central dining facility.
It was accepted immediately and the demand for rooms was so high that ten studio apartments were added a few years later.
By the end of the seventies demand for rooms necessitated the addition of The West Apartments: eight more beautiful living areas.
In the late 90’s, through a capital advance from HUD and the generosity of the community, the Stoner Annex was added to the south.
Named after Dr.
Gaylen Stoner, the founder and guiding force for this entire project, it consisted of eight more apartments attatched to the original pioneer manor.
It is controlled by a separate corporation: MPM Elderly Services Inc., whose board of directors and members are shared by Montana Pioneer Manors, Inc..
