Detailed description is The adventure in learning begins here. Join me for 4 year old Kindergarten ready, & 5 year old extended day Kindergarten. Hi, I am Laurie Wilkinson also know as Miss Laurie.. . I have loved working with children most of my adult life. I studied Elementary Education at Southern Utah University and Criminal Justice at Utah Valley University. From there I became a Wilderness Instructor helping shape broken lives of teens. It wasn’t long before I went into the Foster Care system; tracking youth, helping them maneuver through the legal system, & even fostering a few. As my own family grew, I switched lanes to teaching preschool & even coaching young busy bodies. I moved to the public school system 5 years ago working primarily with Kindergartners. I love to see their beautiful minds stretch & grow, always yearning to discover more.. . My husband & I have been married for 15 years. We enjoy experiencing life with our 2 children, a sassy cat, & our good ‘old’ dog. In addition, we have hosted several foreign exchange students. They have taught us to understand culture & diversity on a very personal level. We have a great love for our international family which now includes a grand baby! We dream of traveling the world to visit the amazing students that have crossed our path.. . When the weather is warm, I enjoy discovering nature with my family and friends while hiking, backpacking, kayaking, & paddle boarding. During the winter months you will find me indoors with a good book or a crafting project. I love animals, especially cats! But I have been known to bring home other pets including a bummer lamb. I love to travel and discover all that this world has to offer near & far.. . I would love to be your child’s preschool teacher & take your child on an adventure in learning!
